about us

MISSION AND PURPOSE

The Heidi Group is a non-profit organization promoting life affirming hope and dignity to girls, women, and their families seeking self-sufficiency. Our pregnancy centers in inner city, underserved areas address the issues that accompany unplanned pregnancy. Through our programs women work to achieve long-term educational and job skills that promote ethics and build confidence leading to productive lifestyles.

Understanding that each of us has practical, emotional, and spiritual needs, The Heidi Group's programs address those areas. Life-skills training, such as career and parenting classes, are coupled with a mentoring relationship, providing on-going support until goals are accomplished.

The Heidi Group does not receive any government funding and is supported by the generous donations of foundations and individuals.

HISTORY

The Heidi Group was founded in 1995 by Carol Everett. Uniquely understanding unplanned pregnancies, Carol has committed her life’s work to helping women facing an unintended pregnancy with positive life affirming options. In 2005, The Heidi Group began a partnership with The Salvation Army to open pregnancy centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth. To date there are three sites in the Dallas area and a free pre-natal clinic to serve uninsured mothers-to-be.

OUTREACH

The Heidi Group wants to make a difference in the lives of women and families who find themselves in a life crisis. We provide confidential mentoring to a balanced future, in a non-judgmental environment.
